I’m delighted to announce that my 2026 release, Sir Hugo Seeks a Wife: Cinderellas of Mayfair Book 1, was the runner up in the historical romance category of the prestigious Romantic Book of the Year Award, the Ruby, run by Romance Writers of Australia.
Congratulations to Ebony Oaten and Catherine who won the historical category with their book Marie’s Merry Gentlemen! Congratulations also to all the other fabulous winners who were announced in Darwin in late August. Wonderful to see Australian Romantic Fiction so hale and hearty!
Not a lot of other news right now. I’m taking a bit of a break from writing for a little while so no new releases to talk about.
I’m enjoying the lovely spring weather down here in Australia and I hope to be back swimming in the pool in the next few days. I did try a couple of weeks ago and Brrr! It as SOOOOO cold. I think I’m turning into a wimp in my old age!
Finishing with a reading recommendation. My critique partner Annie West has a corker of a new book out this month. Heir for His Taking is an emotional, drama-filled contemporary romance with an opening that absolutely takes you by the throat. Don’t miss it.
