March 2025

Goodness me, I had a busy February! I ran a couple of workshops. I went to the fabulous Queensland Writers Centre’s GenreCon. I offered my lovely friend Mary-Lou Stephens a bed while she completed a number of promotional activities for the launch of her new book The Jam Maker in the Brisbane area. I took up a mentorship role with a writer through the Queensland Writers Centre. I kept the wheels of industry rolling at my desk through all that. I’m looking forward to March, which should be a bit quieter and will hopefully give me a chance to get my teeth into the new story.

Here’s a photo of me after the workshop on Great Beginnings that I presented for Women Writers Queensland on the 11th March. I really appreciated getting the chance to talk writing to so many new people!

I had some wonderful news, too, during February. The Australian Romance Readers Association announced finalists in its 2025 awards and I’m delighted to announce that I’m up for the following awards:

The Last Duke She’d Marry Favourite Historical Romance of 2024

The Duke Says I Do Favourite Historical Romance of 2024

Scoundrels of Mayfair Favourite Continuing Series of 2024

Anna Campbell Favourite Australian Romance Author

You can see the full list of all the wonderful finalists here: https://australianromancereaders.wordpress.com/2025/02/15/2024-arr-awards-finalists-announced/

Congratulations to everyone mentioned. Winners will be announced at a gala dinner on Friday, 28th March.
